About the Revival
All trees have a life cycle, so we are making every effort to save the trees we can from ending up in landfills. When city trees need to be removed, we preserve their natural beauty and also limit carbon emissions by, salvaging trees lost during storms, disease, or normal senescence and recycling this wood into useable raw lumber.
Our urban wood offers a story unlike any other, as they’ve been salvaged from our city streets… A true Street Tree Revival.
Our Roots
25 yeas ago, West Coast Arborists, Inc., (WCA) started an urban wood recycling program in collaboration with the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CDF). (WCA) is a tree maintenance and management provider serving cities, counties, and school districts. Since a number of trees living within our City streets and parks eventually decline and require removal it became imperative to identify ways to salvage what we could.

Our sawmill operations are based out of Ontario and Stockton, offering live edge and dimensional lumber. Mobile sawmill service are also available at both locations.
Dry
Kiln drying allows the wood to dry evenly while both stabilizing and sterilizing the lumber. It can greatly reduce drying defects in hard to dry species and increases yield.
Guilt Free Urban Lumber
Today, our recycling efforts have evolved into an amazing Street Tree Revival program where we are diverting thousands of logs annually from landfills. By turning these street trees into useable urban lumber we are successfully capturing and sequestering wood carbon.

Wood Slabs Available For Purchase
We have over 400 air dried slabs in stock. Most ranging from $100 to $700. With a couple special exceptions nearing the $1000 mark. We also have a large scrap pile of wood under $100.
